OUPC Membership Programme
Oxford University Press has newly launched the OUPC Membership Programme, introducing a series of exciting privileges and a points system. It offers exclusive benefits and surprises to member readers, such as monthly discount days, birthday rewards, priority registration for events, and free access to the Oxford English–Chinese Dictionaries app, altogether enhancing the shopping, reading, and learning experience.

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern your application for, and participation in, the OUPC Membership Programme (the “Membership Programme”). Please read these Terms carefully. By submitting an application and/or registering as a member of the Membership Programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Definitions

Unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions shall have the meanings set out below:

1.1 Membership Programme means the customer loyalty programme operated by Oxford University Press (China) Limited (“OUPC”) , covering its Keys Press business.

1.2 “We”, “us”, “our”, “the Company” refer to Oxford University Press (China) Limited.

1.3 Membership Points mean the points earned under the Membership Programme, whereby one (1) Membership Point is earned for every HK$1 spent, with no minimum spending requirement.

1.4 Membership Year means the period from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.


2. Eligibility and Enrolment

2.1 Customers must register as members through the official OUP Online Store (https://shop.oupchina.com.hk/) by providing all required information.

2.2 Members must be aged 11 or above. Applicants under the age of 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to registration.

2.3 Members must register with a valid and correct email address and mobile number from Hong Kong, Mainland China, or Macau, and must be the legitimate owner of such contact details. Once registration is completed, these information cannot be changed.

2.4 We shall not be responsible for any undelivered SMS, push notifications, emails, WhatsApp messages or phone calls.

2.5 All information provided during registration must be true, accurate, complete, and not misleading. Any fraudulent or false information may result in termination of membership.

2.6 Each email address and mobile number may be registered once only. Duplicate registrations or holding more than one membership account are strictly prohibited. We reserve the right, without prior notice, to:

  • suspend or terminate such membership;
  • forfeit all accumulated Points; and
  • cancel any redemption rights.

2.7 Memberships are non-transferable.

2.8 Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their membership details, including account credentials. Members are fully responsible for any unauthorized use of their accounts, and we shall not be liable for any resulting loss or damage.

2.9 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a membership, without prior notice, if a member:

  • accesses another person’s account without authorization;
  • provides false information; or
  • abuses or misuses membership privileges.

2.10 Members may request account deletion and membership cancellation by emailing [insert official email address]. Account deletion requests will be processed within 40 days. Upon cancellation, all Points, benefits, and tier status shall be forfeited and expire immediately.


3. Earning Points

3.1 Members earn one (1) Membership Point for every HK$1 spent at:

  • the official OUP Online Store (https://shop.oupchina.com.hk/); or
  • direct purchases at events organized or attended by us, including but not limited to book fairs and workshops.

3.2 Membership Points must be registered within 7 days of the invoice date stated on the machine-printed receipt from official OUP event booths. Expired receipts will not be accepted. Verified Points will be credited within 14 days after receipt submission.

Receipt Submission Rules

3.2.1 Only one receipt per submission is allowed.
3.2.2 Each receipt may be submitted once only; duplicate submissions will be rejected.
3.2.3 Receipt images must be clear, legible, and unaltered.
3.2.4 Incomplete, damaged, or illegible receipts will not be accepted.
3.2.5 Membership Points will be awarded only after successful verification.
3.2.6 We reserve the right to validate authenticity and revoke Points in cases of error, fraud, or misuse.

3.3 Members are responsible for checking their Point balance. Except in cases of manifest error, all records maintained by us shall be final and conclusive.

3.4 In case of any refund, Membership Points earned from the relevant transaction will be deducted from the account within 7 days.

3.5 Membership Points expire on 31 March each year and must be redeemed before expiration. Expired Points will be automatically forfeited.

3.6 Membership Points have no cash value and may not be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.


4. Reward Redemption

4.1 A welcome offer (if any) will be granted upon successful registration and may only be redeemed once per member.

4.2 No welcome offer will be granted if a membership was cancelled for any reason within 6 months prior to a new application.

4.3 Members are entitled to a birthday reward once per Membership Year, redeemable only during the member’s birthday month.

4.4 Unredeemed birthday rewards will automatically expire at the end of the birthday month.

4.5 Once a redemption is confirmed, the corresponding Points will be deducted immediately and cannot be reversed or cancelled.

4.6 Rewards must be collected or used in person at designated locations. Failure to collect a reward will result in forfeiture without refund of Points or payment.

4.7 Rewards are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. We shall not be liable if a reward cannot be redeemed due to limited stock or similar reasons.

4.8 All rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.

4.9 We reserve the right to determine eligibility for rewards and to forfeit rewards without prior notice.


5. Membership Tiers

5.1 The Membership Programme consists of three (3) tiers:

  • Basic Membership
  • Gold Membership
  • Diamond Membership

5.2 Tier status is determined by Membership Points accumulation annually:

  • Basic Membership: Upon successful registration
  • Gold Membership: ≥ 1,800 Points accumulated
  • Diamond Membership: ≥ 5,000 Points accumulated

5.3 While Membership Points expire annually, once a member achieves Gold or Diamond Membership, the tier status will be retained until end of next Membership Year, subject to these Terms.

5.4  The Company reserves the sole and absolute discretion, at any time and without compensation, to amend, suspend, terminate, upgrade, downgrade, adjust, or otherwise reclassify any tier benefits and/or a member’s tier status, provided that the Company will use reasonable efforts to provide the members with reasonable notice of any change by notifying the members of a change when they next log in to use the Programme. No change will affect Points or rewards already accrued unless required for legal or security reasons.

5.5  Any misuse of, fraudulent activity in connection with, or breach of these Terms may, at the Company’s sole discretion, result in the forfeiture of tier benefits and/or the termination of the relevant membership.


6. Promotion and Marketing Communications

6.1 By enrolling in the Membership Programme, members consent to receive marketing and promotional communications via channels including email, WhatsApp, phone calls and SMS.

6.2 Members are responsible for keeping their contact information up to date. We shall not be liable for failure to deliver communications due to inaccurate details.

6.3 Members may opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing:
shop-cs.hk@oup.com Transactional, operational, and accountrelated communications shall continue to be sent to members. Upon termination of membership, all programmerelated communications shall cease.


7. Data Usage and Privacy

Member personal data will be collected, used, stored, and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found at:

By joining the Membership Programme, members acknowledge and agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.


8. General

8.1 We reserve the right to modify the structure, benefits, and operation of the Membership Programme at any time.

8.2 Continued participation in the Membership Programme constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.

8.3 We may amend these Terms at our sole discretion. Any updated Terms shall take effect immediately upon publication.

8.4 The Company will use reasonable efforts to provide the members with reasonable notice of any change by notifying the members of a change when they next log in to use the Membership  Programme.

8.5 In the event of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail over the Chinese version

8.6 These Terms apply exclusively to OUPC. OUPC reserves the final and absolute right of decision and interpretation in relation to these Terms.

8.7 These Terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

8.8 Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
